I just received my order of three lbs. of Ache's Pride. It tastes light with a pronounced lift that is much smoother than the jolt from coffee. I like to mix it with your traditional loose leaf mate. The traditional is deep and has a definte soothing effect on my throat. We have numerous stores here in Miami that sell many brands yerba mate and I've tried most of them. Guayaki costs more than some of the others because it is better; it's that simple. Your hard work and love of what you do is appreciated.

Ache's Pride is an excellent form of Yerba Mate'. Appearing much more green in color then the Traditional blend with hints of smokiness. To me its a little more relaxing. I you haven't tried Ache's Pride I suggest you do.

Ache's Pride is full of flavor without being bitter at all. Needs little or no sugar.

This was the first bag of loose, dried yerba mate that I have bought so I don't know what to compare it to, but I definitely like it. I would recommend sweetening it with honey rather than sugar. The Mate flavor can be a bit intense, so if you are trying yerba mate for the first time, you might consider the bottled or canned products from GuayakÃÂ.

I have tried just about every brand and blend yerba mate I could get my hands on at Sprouts, Whole Foods, and an import store here locally. I have tried some that are said to be the best in Argentina, most popular in Paraguay, the best tasting, the most smooth, the least bitter, etc etc.... Ache's Pride is off the charts good!! I was skeptical about having to order this Mate online and pay the $20 price plus shipping but I will tell you it was worth it. This is by far the best tasting mate I have ever had. It is smooth and clean tasting. Hard to really explain but it is unreal not even comparable to other brands and blends.

This blend of herbs is the BEST YET from GUAYAKI. I've noticed my pushups go from 40 to 45+ and my crunches go from 100 to 120 in the last month drinking this tea. The fragrance and flavor is the GREENEST I've ever experienced. So take it from this old guy of 61 years of age who's trainig for the local triathlon that this tea has POSITIVE BENEFITS. I rate it a 10.

A Loose Leaf blend for ture Mate lovers. Very focused and smooth with a youthful herbaceous tone and distinct peppery edge- definitely my vote for the best blend to pack in a gourd! It's been amazing watching the development of this project through Guayaki's mission from conception to fruition. A feel good drink to feel good about. Clearly the nectar of the gods!

This is rich, earthy, but mild and sweet all at the same time. It is my favorite Guayaki product ever! I am soon going to order more and it is well worth the price!
$20/pound for maté is ridiculous...!... BUT... we couldn't believe what we were tasting. Beautiful, beautiful stuff. I'm afraid I'm going to have to shell out more money for another couple bags, unfortunately -- got to hoard them away, before that 400 lb. lot runs out.
